Our Approach

bpas treats all clients with dignity and respect and provides confidential, non-judgmental services.

Experienced

Our staff care for over 50,000 women with unplanned pregnancies each year. They are experienced, skilled and committed to providing a high standard of care.

Sympathetic

Everyone at bpas understands that women need to make their own reproductive decisions and that abortion can be a responsible, moral choice. All our staff have chosen to work where they can help women deal with unplanned pregnancies.

Specialist

As bpas is dedicated to the provision of abortion services, we are able to provide a greater choice. Options include medical abortion in early pregnancy and medical or surgical procedures up to 24 weeks. Most abortions are provided on a day care basis.

Personalised

Every woman will feel differently and have individual care needs, especially in relation to counselling and support before and after an abortion. bpas staff are trained to help you as an individual and will give you the level of support you want.

Affordable

bpas is a registered charity. It exists to provide high quality care at an affordable price and invests the money it receives in maintaining and developing services that meet the needs of clients.

Comprehensive

If you wish, you can discuss your on-going contraceptive needs and arrange an initial supply with a bpas health care professional. We were the first service to encourage doctors to provide emergency 'after sex' contraceptive pills before a woman needs them, and we always offer these to women who attend a bpas clinic for an abortion.
